About this spot
San Gregorio is located in the far south of Chile. It is part of the Magallanes Region, some 40 km of Punta Delgada. There is an estancia and several buildings dating from 1882. The former sheep processing center now pretty much abandoned.
Nearby along the coast are wrecks of two 19th-century cargo ships: Ambassador was a sailing tea clipper, that beached at San Gregorio in 1896 and Amadeo, a steamship, in 1932.
