Knossos is an ancient, Bronze-age Minoan palace and city in Crete. It reportedly Europe's oldest city, dating back to 2,000 BC. The site is very large and is a mix of ruins and reconstructions, some painted with bright colors. Knossos is capital of the legendary king Minos.
