About this spot
Jamestown Settlement is a living history museum. Today it includes a recreation of the original James Fort, a Powhatan Native American Town, indoor and outdoor displays, and replicas of the original settlers' ships the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery. Re-creations of three ships that brought America’s first permanent English colonists to Virginia in 1607 are moored at Jamestown Settlement’s pier for visitors to board and explore. The original Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery set sail from London on December 20, 1606, bound for Virginia.
