About this spot
The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a railway viaduct on the West Highland Line. Located at the top of Loch Shiel in the West Highlands of Scotland, the viaduct overlooks the Glenfinnan Monument and the waters of Loch Shiel. Harry Potter fans flock to this spot - theJacobite Steam train used in scenes showing the Hogwart's Express crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct 4 times every day on it's way from Fort William to Mallaig and back again. This is the largest railway bridge in Scotland, so even if you don't catch a glimpse of the famous Jacobite Steam Train it's well worth a visit.
