About this spot
Gunung Mulu National Park is one of the best places on Borneo island to hike in rainforest, watch wildlife, look for pitcher plants or visit caves. The park is located on Malaysian side of the island in the Sarawak province.

There are several caves in the area and few are worth visiting as a photographer. The Deer cave is one of the largest in the world. Its main chamber really is impressive and worth visiting if only to appreciate its size. Lang cave has more limestone formations and is much smaller. There is also a viewing deck where one can observe "bat exodus" a daily event where thousands of bats go out to feed each evening.
