About this spot
This beautiful renaissance castle dates back to the beginning of 16th century. It is most famous because of Janez Vajkard Valvazor, a nobleman and a historian who documented the history and geography of Slovenian lands in 17th century. Nowadays the castle is a museum and a restaurant.
