Golemo Ezero (Big Lake, Големо Езеро) is a post-glacial lake on Pelister National Park at an altitude of 2218m. At the lake, there is a mountain hut where one can stay overnight.
The nature here is incredibly beautiful and very different from anything else in North Macedonia! The climate is almost Alpine and the vegetation reflects this. The most famous endemic species here is molika pine, which apparently grows on in this part of the world!
