FR Martin Road Barn

It has been reported that the farmer who lives does not necessarily appreciate photographers photographing his property. Be respectful and stay on the public right of ways.

This spot features a red barn set in a horse paddock with hills in the background. The barn is constructed in the Dutch gambrel style with an attached lean-to. Commonly, horses can be found in the paddock around the barn.

Due to its proximity to Steptoe Butte, this barn is a popular spot to visit after a sunrise trip to Steptoe Butte. The Dutch gambrel-style of barn is very similar to the English gambrel except the eaves are flared instead of straight.
