About this spot
I used to work on the South Bar so either parked by or walked by the Fine Lady Statue for a number of years!
Based upon the old Nursery Rhyme
"Ride a Cock Horse to Banbury Cross
To see a Fine Lady upon a white horse
With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
She shall have music wherever she goes"
To me, it's a beautiful statue on its plinth of Hornton stone (also local) and there are lots of little details to capture: the Fine Lady does, of course, have rings on her fingers and bells on her toes, but she also has flowers in her hair and there's a little frog below the statue too.
