The Natural Reserve of Monte Cofano is close to Custonaci and San Vito Lo Capo.
It is one of the most beautiful natural corners of Sicily. If you love nature and sea, you cannot miss it. From this spot you have a nice view of the mount and the surrounding landscape from the charming village of Erice, one of the most beautiful villages in the whole Italian territory.
Feel the charm, the traditions and its history as well as beauty and wonder as you walk through the ancient streets.
The importance of Erice for a photographer is highlighted in Wikipedia from which I quote “The main town of Erice is located on top of Mount Erice, at around 750 metres (2,460 ft) above sea level, overlooking the city of Trapani, the low western coast towards Marsala, the dramatic Punta del Saraceno and Capo San Vito to the north-east, and the Aegadian Islands on Sicily's north-western coast. Casa Santa forms part of Erice at the base of Mount Erice, immediately adjacent to Trapani. A cable car joins the upper and lower parts of Erice.”
