Dinorwic Slate quarry is a huge scare on the land of North Wales. The quarry officially closed in 1969 but now home to the National Slate Museum and the Electric mountain, a huge power station under the mountain and slate quarry.
The quarry has numerous footpaths throughout the levels and hosts a number of opportunities for walking and hugely popular with climbers for the famous "Snakes and Ladders" climb.
Dinowic quarry covers 700 acres and has lots of layers with endless opportunities.
If you pick the lower levels the walk take you to the barracks and lone trees and Vivian quarry plus much more.
The upper levels is home to abandoned buildings, trees and the odd family of mountain goats.
Both levels will give you amazing views over to Snowdon and the town of Llanberis.
