About this spot
This is an excellent area to spend part or all of a cloudy, or lightly raining, day in Mt. Rainier National Park. Waterfalls, not just one, but many, can be found along a couple of miles of trail. There are also numerous cascades and scenic river scenes to be discovered in this lovely forested valley. The walk begins with a steep, 0.4 mile, descent along Deer Creek, where Deer Creek Falls is found. Additional waterfalls and small cascades can be found further down the trail (and are described in the Stafford Falls and Lower Chinook Creek Falls Photohound Spots).
