About this spot
The trek in the Cordillera de Huayhuash in Peru is one of the most beautiful treks you can do. It lasts about 10 days and involves a lot of steep slopes. You leave by car from the city of Huaraz, where you can hire this trekking with the many guides and agencies that exist. You always spend the night in tents and it is of great photographic interest because of the mountains, the sunrises, sunsets and starry nights (if the weather is good). It is a tough trek because you are always above 4,000 m., but it is very rewarding. I leave a map with the itinerary that is normally followed. It ends in the village of Yamac, and starts at a place above this village.
