About This Spot

Val Canali is a pleasant valley, cool during the summer, and is a starting point for many trails that go into the famous Pale di San Martino. It is a destination suitable for everyone, ideal for those who want to hike or simply walk, or for those in search of peace and relaxation. The two most famous refuges on the Pale directly reachable from Val Canali are the Pradidali and Treviso, sites of departure for further walks or climbs up the Altopiano delle Pale or up the most famous peaks (Rosetta, Fradusta, Ball del Velo).
There are many places to take photographs in this valley: most obviously in the upper parts of the valley or lapping the peaks and the plateau of the Pale, but also in the initial part itself or in the bed of the Canali stream and in the Welsperg lake.
