An historic hamlet on the banks of the Beaulieu river consisting of restored 18C cottages, a maritime museum and starting point for Beaulieu river cruises. The village played a pivotal part in British naval history, it was here Nelson's favourite ship the Agamemnon was built in 1781.The shipwrights cottage runs a school teaching traditional shipbuilding techniques.
