The Bronze Horseman is a famous statue located in St. Petersburg, Russia. It depicts Peter the Great on horseback and was created by French sculptor Etienne Maurice Falconet in the 18th century.

The statue was commissioned by Catherine the Great as a tribute to Peter the Great, who founded the city of St. Petersburg in 1703. It is considered a masterpiece of Russian sculpture and a symbol of the city.

The statue stands on a pedestal made of granite and is located on Senate Square in the center of St. Petersburg. The bronze horseman is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city and is surrounded by many historical buildings, including the Admiralty, the Senate and Synod Buildings, and the St. Isaac's Cathedral.

The statue has inspired many writers and poets, including Alexander Pushkin, who wrote a poem called "The Bronze Horseman" in which he describes the statue and the events surrounding it. The poem is considered one of the greatest works of Russian literature and is an important part of Russian cultural heritage.
