About this spot
A tapered cylindrical lighthouse Black Nore Lighthouse is one of only 2 ‘Pepperpot’ Lighthouses in the British Isles. Built in 1894 to guide ships through the Severn estuary to Bristol harbour it is now a grade II listed building. The lighthouse is built from cast iron and it’s light is now deactivated . The lighthouse was originally powered by gas.
