About this spot
It's also a spot that I like a lot in Lyon. Especially since Lyon has redone the lighting of the bridge Lafayette early 2016. The spot is located at the foot of the bridge Lafayette on the banks of the Rhone.
The Lafayette bridge in Lyon is the third oldest bridge on the Rhone. It dates from 1890 and is made from a metal structure resting on stone piles of Porcieu-Amblagnieu. His name was given after the passage of Lafayette on September 5, 1829 on the old bridge located at this location.
Concerning the banks of the Rhone, as we know them today (pedestrians and landscaping arrangements), they were developed from 2005 to 2007 and go from the park of Gerland in the south to the park of the park of Tête d’Or in the north about 10km. They have become a place of stroll for many Lyonnais, as well as a place of picnic the beautiful evenings of summer
