United Kingdom Bamford Edge

About this spot
Bamford Edge is a long gritstone edge above
the village of its namesake, Bamford. It is
one of the classic Peak District locations with commanding views over the southern end of Ladybower Reservoir.

While described as a classic location, it is worth noting that the photo opportunities are lower than perhaps a spot like Mam Tor. However, the major viewpoint makes up for the lack of variety here.

The views from up here are extensive. They give clear views of the Hope Valley over to Mam Tor, Win Hill. Most of Stanage also stretches along the horizon behind you.
