About This Spot

Bale (Valle) is a beautifully preserved medieval town not far from Rovinj. Its beginnings date back to Roman times. It is another very typical Istrian town, built on a hilltop with narrow streets and stone houses that create a special atmosphere. The town is dominated by the bell tower of the Parish Church of St. Julian, built at the end of the 19th century.

This is the west side of the old town of Bale. A line of stone built houses is elevated above the gardens so the views are unobstructed.
