Alton Barnes White Horse was commissioned by local farmer Robert Pile and cut in 1812 on the southern slope of Milk Hill whose peak at 295 meters make it the highest point in Wiltshire. The horse itself is 51 metres tall and 49 metres long and connects to walkers hill by a ridge.
