About this spot
The Northeast Entrance Road travels for approximately 10 miles (16 km) through the scenic Lamar Valley, with the Lamar River following approximately 7.5 miles (12 km) of that route. There are many scenic locations along this stretch of the road and I just happen to pick two.

This area offers some of the best wildlife viewing in the park. You can frequently see pronghorn, elk, bison, grizzly bear, bison and coyote along the river and the road. The most famous feature along this road is Soda Butte - see separate Spot for Soda Butte.
