About this spot
Above the sleepy little village of Cromford lies Black Rocks, a gritstone outcrop like an island in a sea of limestone. Grand views down the Derwent Valley are offered, all the way over to
Matlock. It is hard to believe that the location is not within the National Park.

Black Rocks is a very popular location for all walks of life. So popular in fact, during the sociable hours you will be hustling for a spot as picnic makers, climbers and dog walkers are all enjoying the experience. Instead, head out for a sunrise or sunset to own this little spot of beauty to yourself.
