About this spot
Lathkill Dale is a quiet dale in the White
Peak, running from the village of Monyash to Alport and is about 6 miles long. The upper part of the dale is a National Nature Reserve, hosting a variety of wild flowers, butterflies, trout and birds.

The dale offers photographers a mixture of opportunities, from the high up crag of Parson’s Tor, the tuft weir below Over Haddon to the open view of trees in autumn further down near Alport.
