Water-cum-Jolly, strangely named, is a
picturesque little dale near the popular
Monsal Head. The River Wye courses
through the dale with steep-sided cliffs and crags, which are very popular with climbers, especially the renowned Rubicon Wall. The river is dammed in the dale, creating a large mill pond where the weir eventually gushes over before running into Cressbrook Dale.
This is a small location packed with opportunities. Being adjacent to the Monsal Trail you can explore both locations easily in a single day.
