About this spot
Padley Gorge; the mecca of autumn locations in the Peak District. It is the go-to spot if moving water, babbling brooks and teasing cascades are what you like to get your teeth into.

Burbage Brook flows from higher up near Burbage Rocks and finds its way down the deep valley, twisting, winding and cascading down through the woodland before vanishing after Grindleford Station. At the side of the brook is a vast woodland, teasing you to explore.

The gorge is a good go to location for poor weather days or even to lengthen your day after a sunrise in the local area, providing breakfast isn’t your top priority, of course!
