About this spot
Wyming Brook is a river and nature reserve located just outside the city of Sheffield off the A57. Although best access is gained from the nearby small village of Ringinglow.

The brook is a series of cascades that runs from Redmires Reservoir near Stanage Edge all the way down to the Rivelin Dams below. The course of the river drops 100m in less than a mile with a narrow path running at its side. It would be acceptable to say that the waterfalls and cascades are more impressive than the more popular and close by Padley Gorge.

Being slightly out of the way and with less woodland to explore, it makes Wyming Brook much quieter and you are less likely to be fighting with other tripod legs to get your shot.
