About this spot
At almost 80m high, Veliki slap (literally Big Waterfall) is the biggest waterfall in Croatia. It is located where the Plitvica spring falls into the canyon of Korana river. Even at the dryest point in summer there is plenty of water here.

You will find yourself at the bottom of the waterfall here and almost certainly sharing the view with numerous selfie-seeking tourists on the rocks or wooden platform, but it’s worth persevering as you can get a great shot of the whole waterfall here.
