About this spot
Built in 1688, the Gendarmenmarkt was a marketplace, flanked by the German church to the left and the French Church to the right. Later the building in the centre, the Konzerthaus (Concert Hall), was added. The perfect symmetry of the square, flanked by the elaborated and beautifully lit buildings makes for several nice compositions.
