About this spot
Bale (Valle) is a beautifully preserved medieval town not far from Rovinj. Its beginnings date back to Roman times. It is another very typical Istrian town, built on a hilltop with narrow streets and stone houses that create a special atmosphere. The town is dominated by the bell tower of the Parish Church of St. Julian, built at the end of the 19th century.

This tiny square features a few notable buildings, a town hall with beautiful arches (great for framing your shot) and even more impressive, the Bembo Palace, the largest building in Bale.
