About this spot
The International Fountain was one of the elements built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. It was originally created as a modernist water sculpture and was updated to its current form in 1995. The fountain goes through a series of programmed routines, shooting water out of its many spouts along to the accompaniment of music. The music is changed twice each month to reflect the current activities at the Center. This a popular place to gather on warm summer days. Kids mob the base of fountain in an effort to get completely soaked. Visitors attempt to touch the structure without getting wet. It is definitely Seattle's premier water park.
