Nags Head Woods Preserve is a maritime forest covering 1,400 acres of ponds, swamps, estuaries and trees. This area is also a preserve for the abundant wildlife once found throughout the Outer Banks. The preserve's trails cross forest, sand dunes and traverse bridges over swamplands filled with the sound of frogs.
