About this spot
Wandlebury sits on the the Gog Magog hills south of Cambridge. The hilltop is crowned by two concentric banks with a ditch between. These are the remains of a fortification that dates back as far as the 5th Century, the Iron Age. The rings enclose a space about 1000 ft (300 metres) in diameter. There are many myths and legends surrounding this spot, it has even been suggested that it may have been the site of Troy, or that it is the burial place of gods.
