About this spot
The New Dungeness Lighthouse is located 5 miles out on the Dungeness Spit and can only be reached by foot. Hiking is restricted to the west side of the spit, venturing over to the eastside bird nesting area is not allowed. The destination is a beautifully maintained lighthouse complex. Volunteers, who are constantly working on the buildings, keep the tower open to visitors. http://newdungenesslighthouse.com/visit/
