This is a mountain hike, please be prepared, check weather forecast, follow the trail, leave nothing behind and if possible leave the place a little better than how you found it.

About this spot
Valle Ventina is a small and narrow valley on the North, North-East side of Monte Disgrazia. It was formed by the homonym glacier, on the sides can be seen the old moraines left open by the retreating glacier. The valley opens up a bit after Rifugio Gerli Porro, which is situated at the beginning of the valley. From the Glacier comes a small creek, with freezing cold waters that sinuously makes is way through the valley. On the eastern side of it different millennial larches lay untouched. Above the tree line different water ponds complete the landscape.

It is possible to sleep in the two mountain hut in the valley, Rifugio Ventina and Rifugio Gerli Porro. Make sure to check their opening period.
