The Mosque is an important place of prayer. You should dress appropriately, avoid visiting during prayer times, and behave respectfully during your visit.

About this spot
Hagia Sophia or St.Sophia is another major tourist attraction in Istanbul. It is very popular and busy with tourists but still worth a visit. The dome of Hagia Sophia is the second biggest in the World after the one of the Patheon in Rome. It was designed by a mathematician, a scientist and a physicist but when the dome was placed, the walls began to lean outward because of the weight and walls to support to dome were built. It was initially built as an Orthodox church but when conquered by the Ottomans, it was converted to a mosque. Having spent some years as a museum, the building returned to being used as a mosque in 2020.
This means there's no longer an entry fee, however you should avoid visiting during prayer times. These change daily, and you can find the current times here: https://www.edarabia.com/prayer-times-istanbul/
