About this spot
Ile de la Pietra is a must see when visiting Ile Rousse. It is not a real Island, since it is joined to the town by a thin strip of land. On the Island there a lighthouse and a Genoese watch tower, still in an acceptable condition.
From here you can also enjoy great views over the two small offshore islands. At sunset, particularly the rock is a rich red color, from which the town owns its name. If you don't want to walk you can ride on the 'Petit Train' a little tourist 'train' which drives around the main sights of the town.
