About this spot
'Kindertransport - the arrival’ is one of three memorials at Liverpool Street Station in London. This memorial remembers the trains of children fleeing from Nazi persecution in mainland Europe. These children arrived in the United Kingdom and were sent to foster homes and hostels.

The bronze memorial is just over 2 metres high and was unveiled in 2006. It conveys the sense of fright, relief and wonder at arriving in a strange and foreign land.
