About this spot
On a clear day, you will have to agree that Panorama Point was appropriately named. The view over Washington's Cascade Mountains seems endless. Mt. Adams stands proud over the Tatoosh Range. Closer still are the snow covered peaks of the Goat Rocks. To the southwest stands Mount St. Helens, the former beauty queen of the Cascades, now looking very bedraggled without her top. Mt. Rainier is not part of this scene. But not to worry, by following the Upper Skyline Trail on from Panorama Point, and passing a popular outhouse while gaining a couple hundred feet of elevation, arrive at a full frame view of The Mountain.
