About this spot
The Paradise Inn was built in 1916 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The four story Annex was added in 1920. To keep guests occupied, at 9 hole golf course was created next to the Inn in 1932 and a ropetow for skiers was added in 1936. Today, the golf course is gone, covered by the parking lot, and the rope tow was removed to allow for natural meadow growth. The Inn itself has received maintenance and in 2006 the structure was strengthen to modern earthquake standards. The Inn was built using local materials, with cedar shingles on the roof and cedar beams.
