The ship in this photo makes the long journey from Denmark to Ittoqqortoormiit once a year to deliver food and stock for the shop. This particular year, it was stuck in sea ice for 2 weeks, before it could safely reach shore. As soon as it did, it was like Christmas had come early for the settlement.. there was finally fresh fruit and veg for the first time in months!
