Top places to photograph in Corsica in 2024

These are the very best Corsica Instagram spots, curated by the PhotoHound team. If you've got limited time here, these are the must-see locations to shoot while you're in Corsica!

Bastia - Old Harbour

There are two harbours in Bastia - the original traditional harbour, and the more recent port where Corsica Ferries arrive with passengers from Italy and France.
The old harbour is a nice place where to spend your evenings in Bastia, in the many bars and restaurants, or simply walking along the water boats.

Bonifacio Cliffs - Avenue de Charles de Gaulle viewpoint

Bonifacio is famous for its steep white limestone cliffs. They welcome visitors coming from the southern Sardinia. The best way to see the cliffs is from the sea. Unless you have a drone, this spot is the best position if you want to take a picture from an elevated point of view using tripod and filters.

Calvi – view of the Harbour from the Citadel

Calvi is a wonderful town set between the mountains and the sea. Strolling around the citadel, which stands over the town and the luxury yacht-filled harbor, possibly waiting for the sun to set, is a must-do in Calvi. You will enjoy terrific views in every direction.

Corte: view from the Citadel

Corte and its Citadel are the bastion of the Corsican revolution for independence during the seventeenth century, led by Pasquale Paoli.
Among the citadels of Corsica, Corte is the only one situated within the grounds on a strengthened rocky piton overhung by an “eagle's nest”: a site classified as a Historic monument since 1977! The visit of the Museum and a walk around the Citadel Walls are a must see in your visit of Corte.

Corte: La Citadella from the Viewpoint Belvedere

The Belvedere balcony is a good starting point to visit the city. From here you have a 360° view on the castle, the citadel, the city and the surrounding countryside

Ile de la Pietra – The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse in Ile Rousse is one of the iconic views of the Northern part of the Island.
The lighthouse was built in 1857 and is located at the end of the “Ile de la Pietra”. From there, the view towards the archipelago, the town and the villages nearby is spectacular, especially at sunset, when you get the full effect of the glowing red rocks.

Ile Rousse – Église de l'Immaculée-Conception

The church of the Immaculate Conception is a Catholic Church built in 1892. Located in the city centre, it dominates the Pascal Paoli square.
It’s a nice and simple church. Outside, the classical façade overlooks a line of palm trees.
The interior of the Church is extremely simple, with a bare dome above the transept.

Bonifacio sunset spot with view to the old town

Located at the south end of of the island of Corsica, France, this old city has a magnificant natural harbour and beathtaking cliffs.
This spot is my favorite for sunset photography (in spring) since the sun sets directly behind the cityscape.
