About this spot
Leuven is a city in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium. It is located about 20 miles east of Brussels and is the capital of the province. Leuven is known for its historic town center, which has many well-preserved medieval buildings, including the 15th-century Gothic Town Hall and the 14th-century St. Peter's Church.

Yearly on one of the Saturdays in December, the Beguinage of Leuven gets darkened and only lit by candlelight. This brings a unique atmosphere to an already special neighbourhood.
