Avtovlak (car train or motorail) is a fun experience that at the same time saves you a lot of driving and offers cool photo opportunities. It is a unique experience where one drives a car onto the train and stays in a car through the journey. The train goes into the tunnel to travel under Julian Alps.
The tunnel connects Soča river valley with Lake Bohinj. The railroad was built in Austro-Hungarian times and it served its purpose in WWI. Now it is popular tourist attraction - for a reason.
