As you walk off the funicular and look up, its blinding white facade is a relatively new (1872) addition to Lyon's skyline. Its four constellations represent the fundamental values ​​of justice, moderation, constancy and prudence. The building is an architectural oddity, as if its designer could not choose between Byzantine, Gothic and Romanesque. The result is eclectic yet charming, with plenty to look at. Maybe magic is not the right word, but calm is also not the right word. Go watch it: it just works!
