We’re delighted to announce that Mathew Browne is joining the SNAPP Guides team! Mathew first discovered us as a customer, having purchased our Dubai guide.
He’s now in the process of creating several great guides of his own to locations in South Wales where he is based, plus contributing to location guides further afield such as Las Vegas, Kuala Lumpur, Geneva and Angkor.
Mathew’s professional background is in web development; his company MB Web Design has been in operation for 12 years and served clients all over the world. For over 4 years he worked exclusively with a London-based fintech startup as a lead developer. His passion for travel photography was ignited ten years ago. Now, he is an award-winning photographer who has visited over 50 countries and worked with tourist boards, airlines and magazines to showcase his portfolio.
His first book – Wales In Photographs – will arrive in bookstores in October 2018. Mathew runs photography workshops in Wales, and is currently taking bookings for his first overseas workshops.
It made perfect sense to invite Mathew to join the company. He brings with him over a decade of commercial web development experience, including several years in a startup environment which is valuable to us as our company grows. Equally as important, he is an accomplished travel photographer – he understands our users because he is a passionate photographer just like them.

Getting to work for SNAPP Guides is a dream job for me – I get to work on a product I love, to work closely with photographers whose work I greatly admire, and be part of a talented and friendly team. I’m looking forward to building a product that photographers of all abilities will love to use. Jules and Luka have spent three years creating a fantastic app with a roster of talented photographers. My job now is to build on this success, to overcome the technical challenges that we’ll encounter along the way, and to make our product more accessible to potential users.

As with any young company, our founding team members wear many hats most of the time; Mathew will primarily focus on developing the SNAPP Guides website, implementing new features, building our community and sharing quality content. We’re thrilled to have Mathew on board and we look forward to updating you with the many new features and updates we have planned over the coming months!
