About this spot
This is a red sandstone escarpment, sitting high above the Cheshire Plain, with impressive views and an interesting history of copper mining. The Derbyshire Caving Club occasionally arrange tours in the mines below The Edge. The land is owned by the National Trust and is free entry, although there is a charge for the car park.
