The Ploegsteert Memorial to the Missing commemorates soldiers from the British Armies who died in this area during the First World War and who have no known grave. The area was known as Plugstreet to the soldiers who fought in this area during the Great War. The memorial was designed by H. Chalton Bradshaw and was unveiled on the 7th June 1931
