About this spot
Palm Beach, formally known as Preveli Beach, is a small palm-tree lined beach on the southern coast of Crete where the Kourtaliotis River flows into the Libyan Sea. A palm forest extends inland from the beach along the shores of the river and filling the river's gorge. The beach is reached by a relatively short but steep stair-stepping trail from a car park on the bluff above the beach. There is a small traverna at the beach providing food and drinks.
