About this spot
The government buildings date back to the early Middle ages and are built around a courtyard, in Dutch called 'Binnenhof'. On the corner is a small tower which houses the office of the Prime Minister. Next to the complex is a big pond, called the 'Hofvijver'.
The buildings are scheduled to undergo a major refurbishment starting 2021, so that will no doubtedly mean scaffolding for a certain period.
